Accessibility Statement
Draft: not yet in effect
This document is not final. Before it takes effect, Scripveil still has to confirm a contact address for privacy requests, an effective date. Until then, treat what follows as a description of how this website works today, not as a binding legal document.

Our commitment
Scripveil is committed to making its marketing website (the Website) usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen readers or other assistive technology, screen magnification, or a reduced-motion setting, and people with low vision, colour-vision differences, or cognitive or motor disabilities.
We treat accessibility barriers that we find or are told about as defects to fix, not as optional improvements.
Scope
This statement covers the public marketing Website. It does not cover the Scripveil application, which is not yet available and will have its own accessibility information. It does not cover websites that the Website links to.
Standard and conformance status
We aim for the Website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
Conformance status: not assessed. The Website has not been independently audited, and we do not claim that it fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA, or that it holds any accessibility certification. What we have checked, and what we know falls short, is set out below.
Our approach
Accessibility is built into how the pages are made. In particular:
- Keyboard use. Every page, menu, link and form control can be operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline. A “Skip to content” link is the first focusable item on each page. The navigation menus can be closed with the Escape key. The long illustrated sequence on the home page has a “Skip past this example” link.
- Structure. Each page has a distinct title, one main heading and a logical heading order, a declared language, and landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer so that screen-reader users can move between them.
- Colour and contrast. The Website follows your device’s light or dark setting. Text and interface colours were checked against the WCAG contrast thresholds in both, and adjusted where they fell short.
- Motion. The Website follows your device’s “reduce motion” setting: movement, looping animation, page transitions and smooth scrolling are switched off when you have asked for less motion, and content appears in place.
- Forms. The early-access form has a visible label for every field, groups related options with a legend, shows errors in text next to the field and announces them to screen readers, and keeps what you typed if an error occurs. It does not use a CAPTCHA or any puzzle, and it has no time limit.
- Responsive layout. Pages adapt from phone to desktop widths. Tables of legal information can be scrolled sideways with the keyboard on narrow screens instead of breaking the page.
- Media. The Website contains no audio or video, so no captions or transcripts are needed.
How the Website has been tested
The following checks were carried out on 24 September 2026:
| Check | Method | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Automated rule checks | axe-core, using its WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA rule sets and its best-practice rules, on every page at phone (390 px) and desktop (1440 px) widths, in both the light and the dark colour scheme | One finding, described under known limitations. No other violations were reported. |
| Colour contrast | Measured contrast ratios for text and interface colours against the WCAG thresholds, in the light and the dark colour scheme | Passed, apart from the logo (see known limitations). |
| Horizontal scrolling | Loaded every page at 390, 768, 1024 and 1440 px widths and checked for content wider than the screen | None found. |
| Keyboard and menus | Operated the skip links, navigation menus, mobile menu, command palette, interactive examples (including their change buttons, the pricing billing switch and the rename preview) and the early-access form with the keyboard alone | No keyboard traps found; menus and the command palette close with Escape and return focus; every control shows a focus outline. |
| Reduced motion | Loaded pages with the “reduce motion” setting switched on | Smooth scrolling, looping animations, page transitions and movement are switched off, and content appears in place. |
| Console errors | Loaded every page and watched for script errors | None. |
Automated tools detect only some accessibility problems. These checks are not a substitute for testing by disabled users or an accessibility specialist, and passing them does not prove that the Website has no barriers.
Known limitations
Logo contrast. The gold “veil” part of the Scripveil wordmark has lower contrast against its background than WCAG asks of ordinary text. It is part of a logotype (a brand mark), which WCAG exempts from its contrast requirement, and we have chosen to keep the brand’s colours. The word remains in the accessible name of the logo link.
Testing gaps. We have not tested the Website with screen readers, voice-control software or screen magnifiers, and we have not carried out manual review against every WCAG 2.2 success criterion. There may be problems we have not yet found.
Browsers and assistive technology
Our testing so far has used a current Chromium-based browser (Microsoft Edge). We build with standard web technologies and expect the Website to work in current versions of the major browsers, but we have not verified this in each of them, and we have not tested particular screen-reader and browser combinations.
Reporting an accessibility problem
If something on the Website is hard or impossible for you to use, please email [contact address to be confirmed]. It helps us if you tell us:
- the address of the page or the name of the feature;
- what you were trying to do and what happened instead; and
- if you are willing, the browser, device and any assistive technology you use.
We will acknowledge your report, look into it, and tell you what we can do, and we will fix the problem where we reasonably can.
Alternative formats
If you need information from the Website in another form, or need help using the early-access form, contact us at [contact address to be confirmed] and we will do what we reasonably can to help.
Review and updates
We will review this statement, and re-test the Website, when pages or features change materially. The version, last-updated date and effective date of this statement are shown at the top of the page, and the history is on the Legal Information page.
